Aussie Frizz Miracle Shampoo and Conditioner REVIEW!

Hello again!
So, a few days ago I posted a beauty haul and I wanted to give a quick review of one of the products I purchased. Maybe I'm cheating a bit as I've only been using this product for a few days but I feel like Aussie's Frizz Miracle Shampoo and Conditioner was too good not to rave about!

I've really neglected my hair recently and because I'd been wearing a hair piece quite a bit , I didn't really notice it start to feel horrible and dry - big mistake.  I put in my extensions one day to mix things up a bit by wearing my hair straight but my own hair was so easily tangled that knots started forming pretty quickly and it became near impossible to brush.

I'm currently living at home so haven't really bothered buying any shampoo or conditioner for myself as there's usually plenty in the bathroom, but unfortunately for me my grandparents started buying 2 in 1 shampoos and conditioners. I don't  know about anyone else, but I HATE 2 in 1 products with a passion and they're definitely to blame for the recent state of my hair. I'm pretty sure they're normally cheaper in price than buying the two separate but if you want to avoid a mishap like mine, avoid at all costs! They're very damaging and just not worth the money in my opinion.

Anyway! I spotted these two products by Aussie on sale in a beauty shop up the town and wanted to try them out. I've used Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner and the conditioning spray they have before and they worked wonders but I couldn't see any in store so I opted for these two instead.

My hair was literally SO dry that I ran straight home and tried them out despite having just washed my hair that morning, but it was getting unbearable for me trying to detangle it constantly. I know these products are specifically meant for reducing frizz, but I could instantly feel a difference in the condition of my hair. It felt so much healthier and softer after just one wash!

I'm now onto my 6th day of using this, and I LOVE it. My hair hasn't felt this soft in ages. It looks better and has been so much easier to manage. It's not frizzy, but the product doesn't weigh it down either. I'm very excited to see how much my hair has improved by the time I've finished this product.

DEFINITELY give this a go!!

Toni & Guy Shimmer Mist Review

I bought this product quite a while ago, mistaking it for hairspray, so it took me a while to get round to using it. I'm not really big on hair shimmers, I've never really heard of them to be honest. I thought it was going to be some kind of glitter spray like you got as a kid to put in your hair. However,I gave it a try a few days ago for the first time to see if it added 'texture, shine and a lift in colour' like the bottle claims.

My hair has been very dry recently and I've been trying out new conditioners and shampoos try and restore it. While my current conditioner is working a treat, I thought this product basically cancelled out the softness that my hair had finally started to regain. It dried it out severely and made it hard to manage. While it doesn't claim to make hair feel soft, I was disappointed that any 'texture' it gave  seemed to be coming from the ever increasing amount of knots that seemed to be forming on my head.

I didn't notice much of a difference in shine. but then again dry hair doesn't shine to much anyway and I didn't feel that this product helped with that. I'm not overly sure about whether or not there was a lift in colour. In certain light, my hair looked a bit of a richer shade of brown but not something anyone but myself would notice.

The fact I couldn't find many reviews on this product suggests that no one who has purchased it has found it particularly useful. I would recommend you avoid this product and stick to a good hair care routine in order to achieve the benefits this product claims to give you.

06/09/13 - Drugstore / High Street Haul

Hi Everyone! Got another haul for you today. I went up town earlier with the intention of grabbing a few MUA items to try them out but the only shop I know that sold them here doesn't have them in stock anymore so I went ahead and tried a few other things instead.

Bourjois - Rouge Edition Lipstick in 11 Fraise Remix
I love love LOVE this lip colour and I had been wanting to try out something from Bourjois Rouge Edition for quite a while now so I went ahead and purchased one today. My pictures don't show off the colour very well, but I'd describe this as a hot pink with a red/orange tint to it. Quite a complicated one to explain but very nice indeed. When applied to the lips it looks quite bold and eye catching which is what I like.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer in 2 Light
I'm a massive fan of Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, and I never find myself needing to wear concealer with it. but right now I'm using Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation and I have noticed a few problem areas showing throughout the day so I thought I'd better pick one up. I've heard a fair few beauty bloggers raving about this particular concealer, in particular Zoella  who I've heard mention it in a few of her videos. I haven't really had a chance to use this yet. I like the shade I've chosen I think it matches my skin quite well. It appears quite think and dries quickly which I'm hoping means it has good staying power. Time will tell with this one!

Bourjois Blush in 41 Healthy Mix

I really like Bourjois blushers, but it's been a long time since I purchased one. So long, in fact, that I can't remember what shade it is I usually purchase. Anyway, I thought I'd pick this one up and give it a go. It's quite a subtle pink colour, quite nice on and really compliments the Bourjois lipstick I mentioned above. These little tubs, although small, seem to last me ages which is always good. I got this half price at Superdrug because I bought it alongside another item from the same brand so worth checking out while it's on offer.

 Royal Eyelash Adhesive
I won a set of ten false eyelashes from eBay a few weeks ago and they recently arrived with no glue so I thought I'd pick some up when I was out. I did try to use this with the eyelashes but just found that they wouldn't stick at all. I'n not sure if this was down to the cheap, unbranded lashes I bought or the glue so I'll not make judgement on this until I try them out with another eyelash brand.

NS Facial Scrub
I have to admit, I am terrible when it comes to skin care. I had really bad acne a few years back, but when it finally cleared up thanks to one particular treatment, I was lucky enough to never get anything more than a few spots from time to time. Unfortunately I've started to get a few spots again, although I reckon it's because I've changed my foundation. Anyway, I wanted to pick of a few skin care products and get into some kind of routine and lifted this. Admittedly, I don't know anything about this brand but I will give it a go and see if it's any good.

Aussie Frizz Miracle Shampoo and Conditioner
Usually I'm not too fussed about what I was my hair with, but recently it's become very dry and tangled and hard to manage and so I thought I had better invest in something a bit better than whatever stuff I seen on offer at the supermarket. I've used Aussie's 3 Minute Wonder Conditioner before and loved how it made my hair look and feel and so I'm going to try these two out and hope for the best!

Barry M Nail Paint - 328 Passion Fruit
I love this nail polish. Such a nice colour and allows for smooth application. It comes out a nice Hot Pink / Red colour which is perfect for the transition from summer into autumn.

Collection 2000 - Super Size Fat Lash Mascara in 1 Black
No particular reason for picking up this mascara, I just needed a new one and this promised to make lashes appear 'fatter' so hopefully it does exactly that!

Review - Sally's Glitz Glam - Beauty Works Double Volume Instant Weave Curly Hair Piece 3/4

Anyone who knows me will know that I have long been a fan of @VickyGShore's hair. I tried for ages to get mine the same colour and to style my hair similarly to hers does but to no avail. A few months ago I saw a tweet by Vicky which quickly cleared things up for me. Her perfect voluminous mane was in fact a Beautyworks hairpiece by @wwwglitzglam.

It didn't take me long to send a tweet to the girls at Sally's Glitz Glam to find out a bit more information before placing my first order for a 3/4 Double Volume Hair Piece in shade raven 2 - the same as Vicky's!
It arrived within days and I was delighted with the product when it arrived.

All I had to do to fit the hair piece was to tie my hair up in a bun and clip it flat to my head, leaving my fringe and a few bits of my own hair down at the front before sliding it onto my own head and securing it with the pressure clips inside.. Literally 5 minutes work and it was good to go!

The hair is synthetic, but looks very real and will last you quite a while if you take care of it properly. You can do a lot with this hair piece, it's very versatile. I've worn it as it comes, in a plait and as a side pony. It's perfect for big voluminous updos too. I couldn't recommend it enough.

I recently purchased this again but in the shade 'Hot Toffee' to suit my natural hair colour. I always get complimented when I wear this on nights out and it's perfect for when you're in a rush or just having a bit of a lazy day.

If you're interested in buying one for yourself but you're confused about which colour to get, give the girls at @wwwglitzglam a tweet and include a clear picture of your hair and they'll recommend a colour match. Easy!

If you have any questions or want to know more, post a comment below and I'll get back to you :)
